What’s On at Excel Fitness?

When people first join a gym, they’re often unsure what they should do once they step inside the building. Some struggle to determine which exercises to do, others simply don’t know how to do them.

Whether you’re a beginner at the gym or you just don’t have much fitness knowledge, group fitness classes may be your solution. Joining a class can help build a foundation and structure that you can use to fuel your personal health journey for years to come. Classes are an excellent way to get started on the path to better health or as a compliment to your current workout routine.  Our group fitness classes run all year round (unless specified) and are open to the general public.

Participate in as many classes as you would like! Set yourself up for success for life rather than a season by enjoying moving your fantastic body. You deserve nothing less than your healthiest you!

Classes are offered year-round (unless specified) and are available to the general public. Class offerings may vary and change seasonally. Classes are suitable for all fitness levels — from beginner to advanced! Group fitness classes fill up quickly, so please sign up as early as possible.

ACTIVE AGEING 50+

    • Includes some of the best movements for improving physical and mental activities of daily life
    • Cardiovascular, strength/endurance, flexibility and balance movements
    • Train the mind along with the body
    • Suitable for all fitness levels

     

    BOOTCAMP

    • A mix of abstruction/tabata movements, high energy circuit/interval style cardio, and body weight timed exercises
    • Fire up core muscles with core conditioning workouts
    • Strengthen and tone through muscle loaded training
    • A full body workout designed to increase endurance
    • Suitable for all fitness levels

     

    BOXERCISE 

    • Class based on the training concepts boxers use to keep fit
    • For anyone and everyone; work your way up to a good level of fitness
    • Release your aggression, increase your discipline, build self-esteem

     

    AFTER SCHOOL BOOTCAMP

    • Suitable for ages 8-12
    • Keep your  family healthy – and OFF electronics!
    • Bootcamp style workout targets all body areas laying the groundwork for a healthy lifestyle
    • Improve balance, strength, flexibility and build confidence
    • Learn proper form and technique in a fun and friendly environment

     

    URBAN POLING CLASS

    Ladies Division Winners: Jackie Beaulieau & Jackie Malaryk Jackie & Jackie completed the challenge in only 5 days! Men’s Division Winners: Sean Beaulieau & Nick Ginther Sean and Nick completed the challenge in 11 days!

     

    Our winners chose the Estevan Humane Society as the charity of their choice for a portion of registration fees to be donated. We were honoured to help out such a great cause!

    Also congratulations to Jen Gervais who won the Calcutta by completing the most miles in the challenge! Jen completed over 50 Miles!!!
